An architect graduated from the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM), she founded Carvajal+Casariego Arquitectos in 1999 with Juan Casariego. Throughout her solid professional career, she has completed more than 50 works. She is currently based in Santiago, Chile, alongside Juan Casariego, in association with Riesco Rivera, managing various projects in Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
Large-scale acute care hospitals stand out in her portfolio for their complexity and magnitude. The most significant among these were built for public administrations in Spain and Chile and were awarded in public competitions.
Throughout her career, Gádor and the rest of the team have acquired extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with renowned professionals, notably Genaro Alas and Pedro Casariego, who served as inspirations for the firm’s trajectory.
The professional practice of Gádor and her studio is dedicated to the responsible and enthusiastic development of commissions, most of which are obtained through competitions. Her work is driven by a commitment to integrating construction realities and building technology with the ideals of creating comfortable, functional habitats specific to each project. The continuity between architecture and context, as well as the integration of nature into architecture, are recurring themes in her research and work.
She has received more than 20 awards in public competitions. Her experience spans diverse fields, from large hospital complexes—such as the Antofagasta, Curicó, Murcia, Logroño, Santander, Cuenca, and Cádiz hospitals—and social housing, such as the San Cristóbal de los Ángeles residences (recognized by the Madrid City Council for their bioclimatic performance), to small-scale works like the García Andrade house or the ERAR Sur treatment plant, also a recipient of a Madrid City Council award. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including A&V, Pasajes de Arquitectura, Diseño Interior, Arquitectura, and Promateriales, as well as books like Hospital Complexes by LinksBooks or 12 Projects, 12 Textures by the EMVySM.
